Seems like there is alot of peoples returning the modem ... well i guess it is not for everyone uh...?

The whole process is very simple.. i guess most if not all the peoples that go there is to cancel then service and return the modem.. so not much was ask.... just fill up a form, return the good.. and they said i can kept the P1 Wimax bag if i wanted.. nayy....

On the same day i went to TMnet to sign up a phoneline n get streamyx connected.. as we were goin thru the process i ask for the 2mbps but to my surprise.. the Tmnet personal told me that my area (setapak and wangsa maju) got some problems with the streamyx.. not only that it doesnt support 2mbps at all.. even the normal 1mbps also cant get it coz.. the port is full.. thanks to those students that live around that area.. (TAR students?)

So.. with no others options... i guess i will go back to Izzi Broadband la... sigh~

P1 Wimax.. or P1 Why?

Now alot of peoples was talking about how good this P1 Wimax broadband is.. how fast, how reliable it is.. so since my izzi broadband is expiring soon, so i gave it a try.

Signing up was as easy as a b c. I went to the nearby carrefour, walk to their sales booth and ask them to check is there any coverage on my area (previously there is none) and there is! seems like they finally updated to my area, setapak . So next, got my IC n driving license out and sign up. Down payment? RM0.. will be billed on the first bill.

My package.. 1.2mbps for rm99 a month, period.. 2years (free modem).

The modem looks nice... kinda big tho, comparing to my izzi. So apart from the good looking modem easy to sign up package without me paying anything at front.. there is nothing.. nothing at all.. the connection is suck! worst than my good old izzi broadband |(which is suck also) this is bad.

Connection speed? - less than 300kbps with constant disconnected. load one page stuck at the other page.

Stability? - what stability?.. none...

Broadband speed test site ? not be able to even load it..

so verdict?

goin to return it this weekend.. since it had the so called 15days trial.. with full refund (which i didnt pay anything at first anyway) and if you used more than 10GB, there is will charges of RM50.. which i dont think i can even get up to 100MB!!

hmm seems like i will need to reopen my phoneline and sign up the bad old streamyx.. thinking of this package

The initial plan was to had a normal TT with mates from the Peugeot / My206 Club but this time its abit special coz got cake (Mango Delight from Secret Recipe) to eat but somehow it ended up with the guys and gal singing a birthday song to me at the Old Town White Coffee - Ampang lol.. aiyoo.. shy la... lol

Gong Xi Fatt Chai !! as it is Chinese New Year, it is customary to buy new clothings, wears, shoes for chinese peoples.. and today, i bought a new shoe...

well not for me tho.. its for my pug... hah

Old shoe.

My pug comes with a standard 14" rims with 175/65/14 tyre profile. At first look its kinda looks skinny and small.. ( some said looks like kancil tyre), but one thing what it good for is.. on wet road.. believe it or not.. they say it really can run on wet road.. coz theoretically because the tyre was slim it will cut more water compared to wider tyre which the track contacted the water surface more.... i hope u understand what i meant.. hehe

Getting ready to change, notice the rear wheel also comes up when the front wheel been jacked up.. the car is stiff man... good chassis.

Now you might ask.. since its so good why change?.. hmm well i wanted something that is not just only looks nice, performce good and... different.

So what i got?.. a 15" super light-weight Volks racing Rays.. white!.. with 185/55/15 Michelin Pilot Preceda 2.

At first i was abit worried.. coz changing a 14" rims with 175/65/14 wheel to 15" rims with 185/55/15 wheel, will it effect my car performance as the bigger rims + tyre might be heavier.. so right after they took out my old wheel and put the new tyre on the new rims.. i weight both of it... and surprise.. altho the new rims (Volks) is bigger with bigger tyre.. it is actually alot lighter than my original wheel!...

Nice looking eh?

Now as for performance wise.. well it is actually lighter.. so no worries.. and as for on practically use... frankly speaking i found it abit noisy compared to my old one.. maybe again because of the theory of wider tyre makes more contact on the road thus more sound.. and if it were to be on 175/65/14 of the same brand.. i think it will be much more quieter than the originals.

But here is the good parts.. i felt the car more lighter (in the sense of pick up speed).. much much more stable especially at corners or bend.. and over pothole, bump, multiple bump.. its felt solid and more quiet..

The New Mac Book Pro.. niceyyy.............. well i dont own it tho.. its my company's notebook.. but the best thing is i am using it for all my work at office or home...

The best thing about Mac is, no matter how big or whatever features i used on the design software (Illustrator CS4, Photoshop CS4) it never dissapointed me with it speed and stability.

Year 2009 2nd TT. Meguiar's Clinic (Auto Detailing)

17th Jan 2009. Another big events for the Peugeot Club and My206Club TT, this time our TT si to visit the Meguiar's clinic at Hypercoat located at Subang USJ.

Around 10+ Peugeots car attended the events and almost 90% of the cars where 206 with 1x 407 and 1x 406.

The events started around 9.00am with some introduction about the company, products and also car care information.

Then we move one to the demo where Andy's car were choosen for the washing demostration and mine for the full detailing demo ( wash, clay, polish, wax and maintaining) as my car is the only black car there.

We also been treated with some F&B later on.

Actually there were 3 cars goin back that day with shining new look after being given a free detailing on it. Blackdolphin blue 406, Andy's red 206 GTi and my black 206 Premium. Haha it is well worth it to go.

I didnt come back empty handed also after being treated with the free detailing, as it is a special day just for Peugeot cars they also giving some discount on the products which you will never get from any others place in Malaysia.. so i decided to get some.

Since i am kinda lazy person and it is abit troublesome for me to do some detailing on my car at my place, i decided just to buy the washing and maintaining range from them. As for others i might just send over my car to their shop.

Well i bought some
- Gold Class car shampoo and conditioner (for washing the car)
- Microfiber wash Mitt (kinda looks like a glove to wash the car)
- Supreme shine microfiber towel
- Hot Rims for the rims (well, Dolphin force me to buy if i were to get his Rays rims lol)
- Quick Interior detailing for the dashboard
- Quick Detailer for maintaining the car exterior (after waxing etc.)
- Gold Class Leather cleaner and conditioner (for my leather seat)
- some application pad.

And i would say all these items is not cheap, it you were to get it from any normal retail shop it will cost you more than RM300++!! and that is just the washing part and its not even complete set (only around 80%) as there is still like 3+ types of brushes and tools.

For DIY full detailings with complete tools and products.. i think it will easily cost you more than RM1000++.. thats why i prefer to send over my car to them than do it myself.. as i did try it once before, i almost die from it.. very tiring and hard working.

To send and do a one off full detailing ( standard) i think it will cost your around RM250, but you dont need to do it all the time.. maybe about twice a years will be enough.

Buckle or Bucks?

Now recently the gov. had impliment the rule of having the rear seat car passanger to buckle up or be prepared to be fine. Now that is a good move as the rear seat belt does saved life or else it wont be there on modern cars (yeah yr 1995 and before cars is old, sorry to say that) But somehow the way of punishing those offenders is not acceptable by all. Now you will know what i meant.

From the new year onwards, all passengers in a car whether sitting in the front or back have to buckle up or face a RM300 fine. This only applies if the passenger is over 17 years old, but if you are younger, the driver of the car is the one who will be punished as according to Road Transport

Director-General Datuk Solah Mat Hassan, it is the responsibility of the driver to ensure the safety of the minors that they are driving.

This new seatbelt ruling includes the rear seatbelts, but excludes the following:

Cars registered before 1st of January 1995
Cars registered after the 1st of January 1995 but not equipped with rear seatbelt anchorage points
Commercial vehicles such as taxis and rental cars
Vehicles with more than 9 seats including the driver’s
Transport vehicles with capacity above 3.5 tonnes

Wait, that’s not all. The RM300 fine will be in effect only within a “grace period” of between the 1st of January 2009 to the end of June 2009. From the 1st of July 2009 onwards, this fine will be upped to RM2,000 and you could even go to jail for up to 1 year. Yes, it may seem harsh… but if you buckle up, you won’t have to worry. It’s for your own safety anyway.

From the look of it.. the gov. already given some so called trial period where those who didnt buckle up at the rear seat will be given a warning last year (2008) and now starting from 1 Jan there is will a fine of RM300.00 since you had your chances to get used to it last year. And if you are still stubborn or hardheaded.. oh well you can be fine up to RM2000 or up to 1 year jail.. weeheyyy... now that means business.

Now from this article me and my mate well, Andy Gti and i had a heated so called debated which lasted for hours lol (yeah kinda sad uh?). In his opinion the fine of the ridiculous high price is bunch of bollocks, his fact?

-It is a nature of human to forget (sounded like Mahathir's melayu mudah lupa.. yeah) and it is very unfair for them to be fine at such a high price (RM2k / 1 Year jail) for something that they forgotten.. eg. buckle up the seat belt la.
-And it is unfair for those who followed the law (so called good citizen) to be fined just because they forgotten just once (very unlucky) while those who didnt follow the law so (called bad citizen) to get away with it. (He knows coz he said he seen the world.. or Malaysia in this matter)

Ok now.. i do agreed with him, he got his point.. but then again.. i think it is just a bunch of bollock excuses.... using 'forgot' ,'lupa', 'oublié' ,'忘记' ,'भूल गया' as his main point.

They way i think of it.. well there should be something to make peoples to remember. To imprint in thier mind that not wearing a seat belt at the rear seat now is an offence. It is a very simple and straight forward way to do it.. you dont wear, you got caught, you get fine. Thats it.. no gimmick no nothing.. same as the front passanger and driver, we always wear a seatbelt when we got into the car.. because we knew it is an offence if we dont wear it. (altho i knew some peoples purposely dont wear it esp. they think of it is just a short distance, its late at night no one will know etc and not because they forgot!) So my point is..

-You know how much it will cost you if you dont wear the seatbelt, so try to remember it and buckle up.
-If you forgot, and got fined which is very unlucky but by now you should had remember it deep in your heart to buckle up next time.
-You still forgot.. thats means Rm2k / 1 yr jail means nothing to you.. then you deserve it la.. aka padam muka.

Now what does Andy tought of my opinion?.. well he said i am bollock naive.. my eyes is closed, didnt see the world close enough and bollock lol yeah alot of bollocks.. then again i ask him what should be done to make sure peoples remember to wear the seatbelt at rearseat?..
and i am still waiting for the answer tho.. maybe in his opinion is.. the gov. should just encourage peoples to wear the rear seatbelts and it is up to them to wear it or not.. so if you die thats your problems la.. who cares.

But end of they day.. i think it is a good move providing first time offenders gets a warning, then second time fine with no more than rm300, do again fine up to rm2,000 then 'forgot' again, jail.. still forgot... oh well go see doctor la..

And even with me and Andy debating or arguing.. it is a fact.. and it is really happening (altho the rm2k / 1yr jail i am not so sure it will happen.. you know la thing change mar) So for your own and your love one safety .. please buckle up la.. not very hard to do mar, just pull n click.

ps- if you really scare you might forget like what Andy mention.. i provided you some artwork where you can download it then print it out and stick in your car. .. see how good i am.. hehe

10,000km service at Volcare

Taken while on the highway to JB on sunday

Due to me making quite a numbers of trip to JB (about 3-4 times) and also a couples of times back to hometown.. within 4 months my mileage has gone from 300km to 10,000+km.. so today its time to do the 10,000km servicing, previously i had done the first inspected at 2500km and first service at 4,600+km at Kheng Soon. But this time i am choosing Volcare, because;
1. They are using 'Total' engine oil.
2. I think the rest of the service centre (eps Bluebox / Kheng soon) would be packed on 31/12/08

Total 7000SM + oil filter

I am using the Total Quartz 7000SM 15w/50 semi syn. as i am planning to had my engine oil change on every 10,000km from now on. One funny thing i notice is altho Peugeot recommanded Total oil but at the bottle of the engine oil it didnt written anything about Peugeot instead its written recommanded for Mercedes Benz, VW, Nissan, Toyota etc.. lol

Oil filter

This is the oil filter and a damn expensive one too.. which cost around extra 100%-200% of the price from the outside spare part shop.. but what to do, since the car is under warranty you cant really bring your own parts for it.

Firstly.. they (the techician, mechanic call it whatever u like) will open up the oil filter (cap?) and let it drop down into a container at the bottom

Then he will clean the (cap?) and put in the new filter in and fix it back to its position.

Draining old oil (Caltex, from Kheng soon lol) the oil look black thick and shinny tho.

Next is to 'jack' up the car in drain the engine oil from the bottom. Actually it took about few minutes to drain it, but i told the techician to leave it for 1/2hrs or so, so that its totally drain out clean lol.. well it wont be that clean but atleast get as much as the old oil out as possible.

After all is done, the car is lowered and new oil will be pour in. I did ask the mechanic how does he know how much to put it.. coz i dont think they will pour in a whole 4L bottle, and well he couldnt answer me how he know... but he just know when is enough lol...

After all this done, now to check the electronic parts which means they will plug in a laptop with Peugeot Planet 2000 software and basically let is run/diagnosis the whole car systems

Well seems like everything is fine... and it had been reset to next service at the next 10,000km interval, So my next service will be on the 20,000km which i hope... not so soon la..

PS- Only at Volcare they allow me to hang around the working area.. took the picture talk with the mechanic while he is working and ask him to do this and that lol... others service centre?? well you will be asked to sit in the waiting area and drink coffee/watch TV hehe

DIY large 'Peugeot' wording rebadge.

Ok after been driving the car for almost 4 months i decided to 'rebadge' the 'engineer by peugeot' logo to the original/CBU version which is bigger.. another reason is also because i didnt want to repeat the 'Lion' emblems at the rear.. got the large one and another small one.

The original CKD 206 with smaller peugeot wording and repeated small and large lion emblems at he rear.

First of all i used a tape to mark up where the Peugeot word goin to be.. and also to make sure i didnt mess it up when put the logo and ended up the logo is uneven or slanding at one side

I guess the hardest part is how to take out the emblems.. some suggested just pull it out (which might broken it in pieces), some suggested using a screw driver (screw him), and some suggested using a sewing thread (best way, suggested by Xloader/Ethan). So i decided to used the thread /wire just to see which is the best. At first i was using the sewing thread.. which didnt last long.. its snapped at every 1-2mm of cutting thru the double-sided tape under the logo. Then i decided to used the garden wire which is alot easier... but you need to do slowly, as it will eventually snap also. Pull the thread/wire in up down moving (sawing).

And this is what it might ended up.. still got abit of 'leftover' double sided tape here and there.

Ok eveything is out.

To clean out the sticky part of the double-sided tape on the surface, there is actually a few ways.. for me i just using my finger/nail to scrap it off (suggested by Ethan).. and well it easily come off.. then i steal some nail polish remover from my wife to clean off some stubborn part.. just use a cloth dip some (a little amount will do, dont go too crazy) of it and wipe it fast and quickly use a wet cloth to clean it again... and i also actually did some waxing on it too hehe just to make sure the surface is shinny clean.

Check out the size differences of the CBU and CKD Peugeot emblems. Its comes with pre-stick double-sided stikers

Now using the tape as your guide line, slowly stick the Peugeot wording on the surface lightly..so that if you mess up you still can take it out, and when you are satisfied with the position then press it hard.. press on each letter to make sure it stick properly.. and lastly just wipe it off with a cloth... and its done... all new, shinny and large!

Now the left right looks balanced

As for the old emblem.. hmm well i got some plan for it and will do some DIYing too if i got time.. so for now, it just goin to be kept inside the boot.

Previously on part one, i've gotten the '2D' aluminium type of engine emblem for my pug... and after awhile i found out there is another type which is a '3D' type (plastic base with chrome lion) so today i was lucky enough to get hold one for myself...

Also on the same time, the long awaited Aluminium Fuel Cap... i was abit surprise that this fuel cap was actually thick and heavy, i tought it was light n thin. Well i guess being a genuine peugeot accessories it had to be done properly? hehe

CBT, Peugeot Vision

Now this is something interesting, lol. Well actually on last sunday 07/12, some of my friends text me and told me i was on the News Strait Times Newspaper under the Car,Bike & Section for the Peugeot Vision i was abit surprised, i didnt know it was goin to be in the newspaper as i tought it only will be on the Peugeot Vision mag/newsletter/newspaper or whatever you wana called it coz it is a one piece 2 page paper..lol

Then at the Go-kart, Pumbaah also telling me it was in the newspaper. But since we are having the go-karting events, i didnt managed to get a copy myself. But luckily at was available for download from Peugeot site here

Now lets go to the interview part, i was interviewed by Syah from the CBT, and it was done at the Steven's corner at Setapak.. 'TT interview session' la lol. Basically we talk about what do i like about the car, and how does it felt, the handling. performances etc. In the artical he mention about the 'me demonstrate the sharp U-turn' well lol i guess it was when i was making a fast U-turn on the way back after the interview session. And about the modifications.. i guess those who followed my blog before will know that i am looking for a new set of bigger n nicer rims.. which till today still failed to do so haha oh well.

By the way it was nice for them to mention the my206club blog tho.. kinda promote it abit haha. Well in the end it was just a simple interview for the Peugeot Vision fo the testimonial section. so, Andy.. stop calling me star of 206 lol...

Go! Fun! Kart!

After been waiting for almost 2 weeks.. finally the day had arrived!... Go Karting!... Started my journey to Subang Parade and met with Andy there, then convoy to the Shah Alam and reaches there around 1.40pm.

Seems like we are the only 2 that just arrived... or maybe not.. seems like Pumbaah had been there even much more earlier!.. and from what i can see, he is getting very excited about it haha..

Later, Terry arrived followed by Koinmove and Ethan, got our info registered and still waiting for Xloader and Joe.. Finally around 2.30pm all had arrived and the fun begins!

For the whole racing session/events i was actually quite confused.. one i started into the track i saw a few kart infront of me.. after overtaking them on the first lap i couldnt see anyone, anymore.. the kart vibrate really bad too, the steering is very heavy, but the fun thing is at the corners where you can actually drift on it! LoL

Frankly speaking i only driven a kart before once in my life.. and that ways more than 10 years ago, so this time it is kinda new for me.. a noob i would say. Thats why i been goin into the pit and every 2 laps lol..becoz i tought it is over.. and at one time i did even ram into a tyre of a stationary kart infront of me because i was getting confused.

Choosing the Karts~

After the first session ended which is around 10mins, we drove back to the pit and waited for the next turn. Around 20mins later its our turn again and this time we were joined by others group.
And this time i manage to get some idea on who to actually drive it fast n hard lol... however after a fews lap it started to rain and it is damn hard to control the kart. At first i was following a 2 seater kart and when i was about to overtake them at a corners suddenly they spin and luckily i managed to take the left side and get out of it, then around half of the lap, its really raining alot and i also actually spin the kart too... wow..it was scary yet fun lol... no longer after that i also saw Andy spin his kart LoL... having a slick tyre on a wet road is really difference feeling.. the steering doesnt respond so good.. infact as Pumbaah said, when he turn the steering but the kart still moving in a straight line!.. taking corners also a challanging, you will bound to oversteer, drift at almost 99% rate if you are goin fast.

Overall it is a very fun experiance, and after that we went for an actually TT. which really had teh tarik lol..

Blue Box Glenmarie

Previously the only Service Center that i always been to is at Kheng Soon in Jln Chan Sow Lin, infact 5 times in 2 months.. reason?.. well they couldnt rectify my car problems which got a 'tak tak' sound when turning the steering wheel at a very low speed movement.. well atleast twice on all the 5 times i've been there. I wouldnt wanted to say anything about thier service, just try and find out yourself.. some might like them some otherwise.

Then I've been to Volcare too located at the Jln Ulu Kelang along the MRR2, altho thier service is good in the sense of friendliness but they are lack of equipment and experiance staff... a normal service or oil change is ok.. but others might had some trouble.. and by the way they are using Total engine oil.. so i would recommanded for an oil change there if you like. But they also fail to rectify the steering problems.

Enterance to the building

So after sometimes i had to bare with the steering noise and also some push from Andy, i decided to try my luck at Peugeot Blue Box at Glenmarie. Actually i've been there before with the my206club's member for the 407 test drive and also the 308GT.

It was when i was there to for the 308GT test drive time, I get to met the new Head of Department of the Peugeot Service Operation Divisions, After Sales. Mr. Hin.

At first look, he does remind me of my uncle (Alvan's Dad which is also a Technician). He was friendly and really care for the cars owner, infact he came to me and told me about how to take good care of my car. He even offered me to do some 'magic' & 'protection' on my car! But since it was on saturday which means halfday operating. So i booked for monday to had it done.

One of the Servicing area

Monday, i reaches Glenmarie around 10am and there already about 5-6 customers in. I get my details in and in no time i was in the car with one of the Service Advisor to test drive it and rectify the problems. After it is done i've waited around 11am and finally my car was in the servicing bay.

Mr.Hin came to me personally and explain whats he goin to do with my car, first he goin to add some protection cover and seal up the gearbox flaws which is quite fame with water goin in problems.. which only happens in Malaysia..? Next he goin to do some grounding on my cars electrical wiring. All is kinda alien to me as i am not much a petrolhead.. (which in my defination still learning to walk). One good thing is Mr. Hin love to use resemblen wording instead of technical word which makes us understand more easily.

On the sametime someone from NZ Galaxy also arrived and took all my doors panel away for redoing all the screws and nuts. (Thanks to 'someone' from the Marketing department which attend to me when i told him the problems of loose screw inside the door panel which makes a clicking sound)

Around 12pm the servicing bay is closed for lunch. On the sametimes Mr.Hin also often came to talk to me about some car care tips, maintaining tips and so on.

After 3-4 cups of 'Teh Tarik' they finished doing the gearbox seal and grounding and at around 3pm one of the Service Advisor, Mr.Tham told me they found the cause of the steering noise. Its was cause by the steering shaft which need to be replace. He told me they needed atleast 1/2 day to get it done and since it too late now would i want to leave the car with them or come back at other time. And since i needed the car, i choose to come back the next day. But still i ended up waiting till almost 5pm coz the NZ Galaxy guy havent bring back my door panels!!! urrghh...Mr.Tham did try to be helpful by calling them to hurry up tho. and luckily they did managed to catch me before i decided to go home without it.. I also saw Fiona aka Fibbles there and chatted with her (for those who followed the AW Forum on 'Water in Gearbox' will know).

Day 2, I arrived much earlier around 8.30am which is thier opening time.. and guess what? there is already 3 person waiting inside.. wow... told the Service Advisor about my car and waited there for few minutes then saw Mr.Hin coming down from the 1st floor (one of the customer there told me Mr.Hin was here since 7.30am everyday) and straight away he say to me they going to do it now and sorry to makes me come again. Then in no time my car was driven into the servicing bay to be fixed and 'bless'.

Again waited for awhile and Mr.Hin came to talk with me and another customer. And he kept telling me they are on it now doin the steering shaft.

Around 11am my car is finally fixed!... all is well... no more noise and with the grounding and ecu reset etc. my car actually felt difference.. more smooth and most of all after had to live with the 'tak tak' sound each time i turn my steering wheel for 2 months now its sooo smooth n quiet.. peace at last haha..

I would surely recommanded Blue Box Glenmarie for sure. Especially with Mr. Hin there.. Nasim, Peugeot got a savoiur and the owner can be rest assured that there is actually someone that do care about thier car!

However there is some tips tho. to get things done smoothly
1. Be cool, yes you might lost it especially all the problems you facing before kept coming up and seems like no one care or no one can solved it.. still be cool..
2. Talk to the right person, dont bark at the wrong tree.
3. Make sure you clarify your problems with as much details as possible as it will be much more easier and faster for them to check n detect fault. Eg. when does it happen? how does it happen? what kind of symptoms and cause that you think it might contribute to the fault (modification)? etc etc.
4. Be patients.

The best is if you can talk with Mr.Hin personally and he will be more than happy to help you, to bless your car. Just a piece of advise tho, dont try to act smart, dont lose your coolness, be humble and surely enough you wont had any problems communicate with him.. and when both of you in in the right track i am sure all your problems will be solve. Let him do his thing, let him bless your car.. and you will enjoy it for the rest of your life.

Those who met Mr.Hin and actually spoken with him before will know what i meant.. so good luck :)

Looks dirty n ugly

Had you ever had the feeling that everytime after you washes your car and all is shinny then you notice the plastic part (the black colour) lining on the roof is so ugly... and no matter how you wash it and when it dry it still lookes dirty?

Well no more, i got a tips for you on how to easily clean it and maintain it in a tip top conditions.

All you needed is 1 piece of scour pad ( those green pan sponge ) cut it in smaller size, best is same size as the plastic lining, 1 black KIWI show polish and 1 old cloth.

Watermark that cant be clean of just by normal washing

First use the scour pad to scrub off all the watermark, dust etc. make sure it is evenly scrub and also most importantly not to scrub on your car paintwork!

Next use the old cloth and the KIWI shoe polish, give it a good amout of it.. dont be stingy.

Lastly slowly n gently apply it on the plastic part, you might need to redo a couple of time to make it all evenly dark/black.

The final result, it looks clean and new. I could had do a better job on it hehe but since i havent wash my car yet so i just do a little demo for the blog

Another tips is how to maintain your wiper so that it last longer and performs better. All you need is a very simple thing either a clean cloth or few pieces of tissue papers.

Hold the wiper in the middle and grab it together so that its not loose.

Use the cloth or tissue papers and wipe it hard in up down motion.

You will notice it is very dirty. The wiper gets dirty easily so it is best to clean it whenever possible and not just wait untill you decided to wash the car. The method is simple and doesnt require water or detergent and can be done at any place. Of course it is better to used detergent and water for best result.

I've had posted some photo of the 308GT sometimes ago when i went to KS SC last time. But this time Andy and I was lucky enough to actually test drive it for the first time.. i dont know how many had test drive it before but for me it is an honour to offered to test drive it.. altho i didnt actually drive it myself (Andy the driver) because it is a manual gear which something i had long ago abonden the skill of it haha..

Lets start with the engine, the 308GT is running on 1.6 litre turbo-charged THP 175 bhp petrol engine. Designed in co-operation with the BMW, the 1.6 litre turbo-charged petrol engine develops a maximum power of 175 bhp at 6000 rpm but is characterised mainly by its generous torque output.
And you gotto love the sweet sound of it... but surprisingly when at stationary with the engine on, you barely heard any sound of it inside the car... damn quiet...

What i really love is the interior, esp the leather seat.. the design the material.. wow.. i wish i can have it in my 206!.. also the 'moonroof' is superb, not to mention the rear seat is also very spacious for a 3 door cars, at any time it can carry 3 adults with comfort lots of leg space, high roof and wide. Altho it is abit difficult to get into the rear seat becoz you need to climb to the back from front, once inside there is really a big room back there.

The only thing i found out is the glovebox which was left half the space because it is occupy by the fuse box. But then again what you wana put inside it anyway? Maybe the service booklet, some pens, maps or maybe a pair of glove? lol oh yeah you also can connect your MP3 player on it which means no more boxes of CDs inside your car.. and if you really still prefer CD.. hey you still got the CD player unit which can hold up to 6 CDs.

The handling is superb. Altho the car is relatively higher than 407 and 206, it does handle corners and sharp bend very very well.. the suspension is superb too, goin over bumpy road, pothole without you noticing much..

What do i think of this car? Frankly speaking it is not for me.... why? errr coz i dont drive manual car haha.. actually the true is car got it all, the power the comfort the design the fashion the quality what else you can ask for more? If you like power, wanted comfort and space and also abit of trend and most importantly love manual gear shift, this is for you. As for me.. i would say lets wait for the automatic gear.

For the price of RM160K -/+ and limited units.. be sure to get it fast while it still available.. and for those who prefer the not so extreme ver. the 5 door non GT is coming soon.. real soon, so go and apply your loan today haha

Last week finally i got my custom made mat for my car.. actually my SA had promised me to give it free to me.. just that i didnt had time to go back to Segamat to get it done... untill last week.. so i asked for all 5 pieces in the car and one big piece for the boot.

I've choosen black colour ( there is grey, chocolate n and black available) so that it matches the interior..

Ok as i mention before while we were test driving the Nautica, Alvan got a call from his wife and we had to cut short the test drive. This is because some asshole decided to steal a bag full with baby wears n milk inside the car and break the rear right door windows to get it.

Suzuki SX4

Alvan's wife, Jes, her sister and my wife Ivy were taking Jes mom to see a doctor. So they drove her brother car since we are using the car and mine park at the apartment. And they parked the car just next to the clinic (side parking) for about 30min -/+. Came out and found out the windows was gone..

Altho the car was tinted with the so call security film (3mil, 4mil etc), seems like it doesnt stop those asshole in anyway... from the look of the windows glass which was inside the car and still in one big whole piece, the asshole somehow smash/hit 4 corner of the windows but the windows was still hold together by the security tint.. then used a knife to cut around it and push it into the car and grab the bag inside.

So Alvan and me drove the car back from the clinic to his parents house to clean it and since it is sunday and no shop open they decided to leave it there too later on.

Well i took a piece of bin bag and some tape and cover the windows.. kinda look like a prototype car uh? lol..

Got a call from Alvan today, seems like it quite hard to find an original window for this car and only got the china made available which cost about RM200..

My car took the picture from the apt.

Last week went to JB with my wife to attend Alvan's little girl birthday. Started my journey at 2.00pm and reaches JB at 5.00pm and since Ivy's sister n family also in JB, we decided to go to them at Danga Bay. Alvan was away at singapore to pick up my uncle from UK..( yeah we all arriving on the same day) so we decided to stay a night at Danga Bay Condo.

The Apartment at Danga Bay was located near a malay kampung (village) and this village is quite special.. because at certain time around 12pm.. the whole village will be flooded!..

JB Venice?

I had no idea where the water came from coz i couldnt see the source of the from where i am standing... the water is rushing from the left side of this picture.. started at around 12pm.

Its is very dirty also.. all the rubbish floating around.. sigh~.. the worst thing is there is some childrens actually playing and swimming on it!... OMG...!

I guess the owner of this car is getting used of the sudden flash flood... he is not concern about his car at all.

Its is abright and clear day no raining no nothing at all.. where the hell these water came from? Maybe from the sea? Anyway after 2-3 hrs around 3pm+ the water suddenly gone... but still it left out alot of rubbish laying around the area...

Sunday 16 Nov 407 Test Drive at JB

Since its sunday and Alvan is not working, we decided to check out 407 at JB to test drive it... well i had test it before so i just let Alvan to drive it.

We reaches there about 4pm and its raining abit ... but as you can see here, not much peoples.. i think its about 4-5 peoples inside.. altho the food is much better than BlueBox Glenmarie, there is no free gift sigh~~ Asked them got free gift or not? the answer is if you book then got la ....

The 206 manual white

Current promotion of the 206.. 12years loan with 0% from Naza finance. wow 12 years!! lol.. i hope this will attract more peoples to buy it.. but with thier SA attitude and the SC service.... wonder if they will managed to sell it at all?

206 Engine bay

After registration we waited for about 5mins and finally the test car arrive, yeah there is only one test car and it doesnt had GPS!.. sigh~ the SA said because in KL is HQ so they would give a higher spec car...

Overall the events was abit dissapointed.. the SA is quite new.. doesnt know much about the car.. cant give any anwers and when Alvan said the car is not very powerful.. the SA answer if want a powerful car better get Honda/Toyota.. i was like wtf? Most of the time inside the car it was me who brief Alvan about the car.. point the good point of it.. the handling, feel the suspension, the conformness, the quietness sound proof etc.. while the SA just nodding away lol..

I ask the SA to show the headlamp cleaner and he was having a trouble finding the switch lol.. then come out another SA.. which Alvan said is a George Micheal looksalike lol, went straight to the car without talking, with rude attitude and took the car away .. man.. the service there is sooo bad.. even Alvan said i can be a much more better SA than them... bad attitude, no knowledge of the car whatsover... i wonder why they bother to do the test drive events at the first place at all.

The Alvan suggested we go and check out the Perodua show room just next door of the JB Bluebox.

But we wanted to test drive the Nautica instead.. altho we were greated by a better attitude SA (its a young lady) with smilling face and polite speaking way... she seems like doesnt know much about the car too. All she ever told us is the Nautica is fully imported (CBU) and even got an AP paper (wonder why they still rebadge it if it is fully imported?). Alvan ask her about the car izzit fully 4WD she said yes.. then Alvan found a button next to the steering wheel at the dashboard a button which got an icon of 2 / 4 wheel. ask her what this button does... well the SA couldnt give us the answer and just said its a full 4WD... oh well....

The interior of Nautica which Alvan said stupid.. coz couldnt see the speedometer much being block by the steering.

Halfway thru test driving the car, Alvan received a call from his wife. And something had happen which is not good... (will post about it later on..) So we cut it short and went off.

Overall the whole test drive event is not very satisfying.. being raining also doesnt help much.. after that we just went home in a speacial mod Citroen Xantia (the only one in whole malaysia)

Two days a go found out my 206 rear wiper is tearing up... so decided to get it change.. call up Autofrance at Tm. Maluri and got quoted RM50 a piece.. gosh.. damn expensive... but its original unit... oh well..

KL Volcare Service Centre Sdn Bhd

Located along the MRR2 by the Ampang/Ulu Kelang, Volcare is formally a Volvo service center being appointed as Authorise Peugeot service center for about 2 years.

Altho the workshop is not well equip as the Blue Box Glenmarie SC or Kheng Soon SC i found out that the mechanic here is very friendly and helpful.

I went there today with 2 things to sort out. First the suspected leaking from the driveshaft and sound on sterring wheel when turning while moving slowly.

First get my info registered at the office and within minutes i was served by a chinese mechanic.. he took me for a spin to find out the sound, after 20mins still cant heard it we head back to the workshop and get the car jack up and check the bottom of it and found out the grease on the driveshaft is actually an undercoat been trigger happy spray all over it.

After that another mechanic (head techician/boss) came to test drive the car again with me... we took a longer route and takes turn to drive it to find out the sound... but after 30+mins of driving the sound still didnt came out we decided to head back again.. and back at the workshop the car was being jack up again and this time the (Boss) told the younger mechanic to check and tighten all screws/nuts and told me to come back again when the noise is getting louder and very easy noticeable.

Overall i am satisfied with thier services, altho the sound havent been fix but they did try hard to find it and spent alot of times on my car.

Volcare is using Total engine oil.
You can bring your own oil but it will be written on the worksheet, meaning if anything happen to your engine they wont be responsiblity for it and Naza will void it.

Inside the workshop there is also another 206 being fix... well atleast the know what the cause, but still waiting for the owner to give the sign to go ahead, as it is not covered by the warranty, the owner had to pay from his own wallet.

The car is 1 1/2 yrs old with 50,000++ km

Seems like Naza said it is not covered by warranty and considered as wear and tear

Fire at Gombak

Recently the weather in KL is really damn hot... almost sweating all the time... and just now i decided to take a fresh air at the balcony and guess what.. saw a huge explosion!... wow.. there seems a massive fire goin on at gombak there... run back in get my camcoder and recorded it.. bam! another explosion... gosh... .. i think the fire started sometime around 10pm?.. damn scary man..

My Dad always wanted a Mercedes Benz to add into his car collections... and finally after a long wait and searching his dream car finally arrived on last saturday 26/10..

Since my dad is quite busy working, so he had me and Bo to pick up the car and on the same time get it tinted..

The Plate holder which is original Merc that comes with the car were actually bend abit in a V shape to fit onto the front bumper which is also a V shape

Interior / Dashboard, Full leathers. Note at the middle top of the Dashboard there is LED indicator for the Front Parking sensor, while the rear parking sensor indicator is located at the back which can be see thru the rear view mirror

The car also had the 'tiptronic' function but its abit difference from my 206, to used the 'manual function it just need to push on left (-) or right (+) on the D position. And when wanted to change back to Auto mode just press a C/S button located near the gear knob. And while on Auto mode, pressing the C/S button will which the gear into C-Comfort or S-Sport mode. Also there is 6 speed on the car.

There is also a sensor on the rear view mirror. The rear aircon vent is actually located at the bottom on the floor of the front seat which facing/blowing toward rear seat.

The Audio systems, the B170 doesnt come with GPS systems but it does had Bluetooth function to connect to the handphone and call can be made/pick up thru the car button.(listen thru the car speakers) The CD changer also hold 6 CDs which can be feed into the same CD slot. Another nice function is the sound systems which you can set the loudness such as front louder than rear or left side louder than right side or balance all round.

Auto lighting, which the front headlamp will turn on automatically when the day is dark. There is also a front and rear fog light and also adjustable headlamp height.

Huge Boots space, the spare tyre is located inside at the bottom of the boot, on the right side there is compartment with first aid kit and also the triangle warning sign located, and on the left side is just an empty compartment for storing stuff..

Getting the car tinted

This shop is quite professional tint shop as all the car is park inside the air-cond shop with closed glass door, The SA specifically told the owner of the shop to do properly as this is a very expensive car lol.. so the shop owner actually gets his hand dirty and do it himself.. Now after been driving the cars from the car dealers shop to the tint shop and back to my dad house.. what do i think about B170 is... well it is very comfortable, high, nice gadgets, prestige.. it is suitable for family who wanted a nice comfort cars with class. As for the performance.. altho having 6 speed.. its a 1.7li engine with heavy body, so its kinda lack of pick up power. I had to step on the acce. pedal almost to floor everytime to move the car from stationary position. Also the car is abit high so speeding on the corners/bends is a big NO NO... overall it is kinda some sort of Mini MPV with a class.. not a performance type.. classy and spacious interior, beautiful exterior, comfort riding is what you looking for then this is the one... the Service interval is every 25,000km or 12 months.. well atleast you only service the cars once a year :)

Peugeot 407 Test Drive

Recently the BlueBox Glenmarie was having a 407 test drive day on 19/10/08. So we decided to check it out and on the same time get our hand on the 407...

As for the test drive we had to register and wait for our turn, anyway it is well worth waiting, Andy get the first go on the 407 but heh i think he's abit to soft on it.. just cruising around the area, then koinmove on the second.. well he really did test it out nicely goin zigzag and fast cornering while entering the bluebox enterance .. wow so fast...

Overall from the test drive, i would said the handling is very good, especially on corners and bends with no doubt... power wise?.. emm well its comfortable hehe

Few weeks ago my sister complaint that her hamster been giving her n Bo a hard time... well actually she said both of them kept fighting at night time and makes a lot of noise... and she ask me does they make noise at the midnight while i was taking care of them?.. i said 'nope.. '

Thus my sister decided to drop her pets at my house again.. hah.. well actually i did miss them abit too since last time...

Actually the idea of the club was started quite long ago... even before my time haha.. but since nothing was done before, Andy and I decided to take it step by step.. starting by creating the club logo.

As currently there is none 'actual' club nor members, we created a blog which will act as a brigde hopefully to attract more 206 owners to join us thus creating a real, organize, functional club... so for now it is just a begining..

First Service -Kheng Soon Service Center

After been driving my pug from south to north, north back to south then further up north again, climbing up and going down mountains.. in hot and rainy day.. i guess its about time to give her something back.. ok its stated that the service interval is actually every 20,000km.. and currently my pug is only at 4500km.. but i decided to take her for the first service.. just to get the factory lubricant out hehe... I've done my first inspection at 2500km before, so this time i will need to change the engine oil, filters and clean up the air filter.

On the same time i also ask them to check out my gearbox as after hearing something about the AL4 gearbox, well it does concern me abit.. its seems like the AL4 gearbox had a problems of water entering the gearbox thru the breather hose and also defective solenoid... So i demanded my gearbox to be check up just incase la...

Anyway to my relief, my AL4 gearbox is the new type.. or more like modified with the breather hose cover to prevent water entering and also new type of solenoid... anyway they also run some test on my gear oil just to make sure it is water free and also checking for leakage..

I took the opportunity to took some picture when they jack my car up.. not much chances to actually had a look at the bottom of my car, so must take some picture hehe

I decided to used a Caltex Havoline semi synthetic as i know i would need to service again at 10,000km.. which was meant for the actual first service.. and its free :) and my plan was to get a fully synthetic which will run untill 20,000km.

So after waiting from 10.00am till 1.00pm my car is finally done with the bill as below,

1. HAVOLINE SEMI-SYNTHETIC 4LT 10W-40 ................... RM97.00

On the same timei saw a 206 sportivo version park outside, getting servicing too.. met the owner who i think not quite happy about his car... sigh~

I asked him about the angel light which came with the car as standard about the headlight level adjustment, he told me well the function is not available anymore... plus he said the is sound coming out from it.. kinda like shaking/rattling sound and the light beam is actually bouncing up and down when driving thru an uneven/bumpy road... and his advice... ' i wouldnt buy it' .. damn!.. here goes my plan of getting the angle light... sigh~.. now need to really think twice..

Anyway after spending about 3hrs in the SC my cars is finally ready... got my key and drove off heading back... and wow its does felt difference!.. the car is really pickup fast, just a little press on the pedal and the car shot off, gear shift was smooth too and especially the engine sounded difference too.. more solid more power haha.. what a wonderful ride home...

Just wait till my 10,000km with fully synthetic and maybe.. just maybe a new Green drop in air filter hehehe..

Well ok, its not excaltly the real car but a diecast model of it... even so, 206 WRC model is kinda hard to find these day in KL... mostly available is 207 Rc version.. so i am lucky to actually get hold of one. Got this model from Hartamas shopping mall, Toy R Us.., actually i never been there before.. infact i didnt even know the place exist.. hehe

The car comes in a hard transparent plastic box cover and its kinda stick to the base.. tried to take it out but afraid i gonna break it.. so i just let it be...

4th Pug's TT 25/09/08 - Pahang

Yet another TT session, but this time we go another step furthers... this time we are going to an Elephant Sanctuary located in Pahang.. so our journey begins at Karak Highway - Bentong - Raub(lunch) - Elephant Sanctuary - Bentong(ice-cream) - K.L .

Started our journey at 10.30am, drive thru Karak Highway, passing by Bentong and reaches Raub. Along the Karak Highway i am struggling to kept up with Andy and Andre and thier GTi, lol.. especially when i was caught in between them, where Andy was behind me kept pushing me faster and Andre was infront which i cant really kept up...

Anyway we reaches Raub around 12pm-1pm, just about the right time for lunch... The restaurant (Restaurant Sentosa) is actually an old kampung house.. quite big and plenty of parking space inside the properties.. so i managed to took some photos of our cars.

Well the food is superb, especialy the fish dishes, infact we are having 2 kind of fish dishes.. and a damn big fish too.. then the gaint prawns, petai's, kampung chicken, some veg and fews more.. that i dont really remember hehe.. but i guess the main things is the fishes here...

After lunch which cost about rm1k+ (about 20ppls) we continued our journey to the Elephant Santuary, the drive was exciting and fun, with bends and down/up hills... especially when we getting near to the Elephant sanctuary location with newly build tar road goin inside the deep country road. (see the video for more)

Half way thru our journey back there is heavy rain... so everyone started to slow on with headlight, fog light, back fog light on... hehe and as usual when there is heavy rain on the highway there is always an accident... well most of the time la...

As when i reaches home i did tell Andy that on the begining of the journey i was having trouble to kept up with them with my punny 1.4li engine hehe and then halfway on our journey back Andy told me that i am a crazy wet road driver who speed up at corners on wet conditions road plus heavy rain... but.. frankly speaking i didnt felt anything at that time.. coz i know i got a good grip on the road... but the only 1 thing that really got to me.. and i really felt scared is while on the way back thru the Karak highway is.. this one.. (see picture below)

As you can see i am at the left lane overtaking some cars on the right lane.. speeding up then suddenly infront of me is a bend at the eaged of a clift.. goin downhill! about 100++kmph... i grab my steering so hard and try to overcome the corner which i am still on the left lane and can actually look down the clift... as there is some cars on the right lane.. i had no choice but to stayed on the left lane... but again my car didnt dissapoinmet me.. (or else i wouldnt be writting this blog lol) and its stick on the road like a lich.. wow.. damn heart pumping moments haha

Anyway reaches home around 6pm... and when think back... ok next time i would just take my sweet time and cruise.. no more chasing no more overtaking hahaha

Pug Rims Hunting Part 2

Ok.. since i cant find a suitable rims for my 206, (maybe i am abit too choosey).. and since i am goin to JB anyway, i decided to try my luck there....

Started my journey from KL around 4.pm.. and reaches Sg.Besi Toll at 4.45pm.. wahh damn jam.. normally it would took about 20mins only.. sigh~.. anyway went straight toward JB and reaches there about 7.15pm.. damn tired... along the way there is like 1 petrol car on every 10-20km!.... didnt go fast around 110kmph-130kmph and sometimes 150+kmph when overtaking cars or goin down hills hehe..

Meet with my cousin (Alvan) somewhere around skudai/tampoi.. well i had to get him to lead me as i had no idea where to go in JB... and i am staying at his house too..

2nd day, Alvan decided to take me to Pelangi to search for the rims... and we been to about 7-8 tyre shop but none of them got any.. no PCD 108 at all!... then on one of the last shop.. finally there is one... went inside, there owner had to dig deep.. really digging deep into his rims collections and found one...

Well this is the only rims that i've found... not really my type tho... sigh~.. selling for about rm1600 damn expensive... the owner said it is supposely made in Japan and the rims cap written made for BBS... (like i care)..
Oh well.. been searching for about 4-5 hours still no luck, so we call it a day... coz we were goin to a party later on at Alvin's house (my others cousin)

While on the way to the party, we pass by the JB Nasim showroom and just at the enterance i saw a white 206.. ! brand new manual... looks nice... for me its either black or white is the best look on a car... but i didnt managed to take a picture.. as it was quite dark, around 8.00pm and the security guard were abit worry seeing our car stop outside infront of the gate hehe..

Day 3 (last day)

After failing to looks fo the rims in JB.. well i kinda let go the idea of getting it here.. so in the morning we went to shopping at JJ with Alvan and his family... and suddenly i saw a counter selling rims!... oh must go and had a look... seems like they are doin some promotion.. so i went there and ask the fellow about the 15" for pug. Sadly he told me there is only 16" and show me the picture of it from the catalog.

Well currently they are doing the promotion so this rims cost rm1100.. normal price rm1300... wah! so many spokes....

Then i checkout the company, seems like they are from Stamford Wheels.. and whats more they are from K.L!... lol i come all the way here to buy a rims from K.L? Anyway i didnt get it as.. its still 16" altho it the best design from the rest of others PCD108 rims that i saw before...

Started my journey home at 9.00pm.. reaches K.L at 11.20pm... long journey... damn tired man..

Today went out with Andrew again hehehe... this time we went to met one of his friend Yee for lunch and chatted abit. Yee is the person that Andrew told me about his a problems with his 406 AL4 gearbox which was 'infected' by water. We had a long chat about the problems and i also learned alot about it.. (will post out more detail in future) Seems like the AL4 gearbox is something that quite hard to tame... problems of water goin in, jerking, slips disc etc... hope mine doesnt had the problems or else ...sigh~.. for flushing already cost rm7-8k!! touch wood, touch wood...

On the way home after lunch, i told Andrew about the Stamford Wheel and we went to Tmn Maluri to look for the shop, while in the car i was browsing the catalog and found this nice looking rims.. well my go and try my luck there..

The shop is located next to the Mayban at the corner lot.. not alot of rims there and they are selling Falken tyre.. went in and saw the same rims from the catalog! but it is 17" and not Pug PCD... so i ask the owner about the 15" PCD 108 and he told me yes they have!... yay!!!! but ... there is always but.. sigh~ he need to check the stock.. and he only be able to do it in these 2 days.. ah.... seems like i had to wait abit then... just hope that i am not that bad luck..

Now.. what do i think of the wheel arc... frankly speaking, the car looks good without wheel arc on a 14" rims with 175/65/14 tyre.. but, it will looks more aggrasive or so call garang on a bigger rims and low profile tyre..

So now is a must to get my bigger rims!!!!! hopefully the Stamford Wheel got it.... gonna call them in 2 days time and... pray la...

Pug Rims Hunting!... Part 1

Ok.. actually i've been hunting for a set of new rims for my pug for 3 days in a row.. damn hard to get it... so today is considered as the last day for this week... and i just gonna sum it up what's been goin on in these 3 days...

First of all i hope anyone out there were kind enough to point me at the right direction where the hell to get the rims that i wanted would be greatly appriciated.. i am looking for a set of 15" rims with PCD 108 (offset 25) 4xH. which will fit perfectly on my 206. Thanks in advance...

Now why would i change my original rims?.. ok currently i am using a 14" rims with 175/65/14.. (ideal 195/55/15) now lets put it this way.. say you are wearing a tux, would you wear a canvas shoe to go with it?.. nope ( not saying absolutely no way).. the proper way is to wear a leather shoe... even tho the canvas shoe is comfortable n nice but its still a canvas.. not to go with a tux.. so imagine canvas shoe(14" rims) and leathershoe (15" rims) which one you go for?... leather shoe right?

Some said.. well get a 16" rims.. ok... i would say 16" is like wearing a leathershoe with steel toe cap... still looks nice.. but heavy!... hehe hope this explain... had to now my 206 is just 1.4li.. if 2.0 i would wear a boots! (17" rims) hehehe

Ok back to the hunting part...

Day 1

Went to KS at 10.30am to met andrew... (if you go to KS at any day 90% chances you will see him there too hehe) on the same time simpson also there... doing his 20k? service.. chat abit.. chat again.. hang around.. walk around n chat again, hang around inside the service area.. got chase out, go in again lol.. (i think KS ppls started to get annoyed by us) till almost 1pm.. then Andrew told Simpson to go with us and take a whole day leave.. but he is such an honest and good employer... well he went straight back to his office after they finished service the car hehe..

Ok started our journey.. first stop to Sunway... been to a few tyre shop... small and big.. cheap n expensive + damn expensive shop.. still cant find any 15" rims... 16" yes.. but limited choices too.. so no point of hanging around... next stop Klang oldtown.. atlast found something.. but hey.. the design is not what i really wanted .... cry*.. took some photos.. so that i can go home and had a good look at it.. (some shop doesnt allowed photo to be taken)

Day 2

Ok day 2.. our target halfcut shop, destination... first we go to see the car paint shop to get the wheel arches colour coded.. (will put on more of it after i actually install it in a new posting) then goin to Subang airport.. not the airport la that area.. deep inside... found a hugeeeeee halfcut shop... wow!.. its really huge!.. kinda like a carrefour that sells all sort of cars part.. and the inventories... bravo.. as i said kinda like those hypermarket.. all items are arrange accordingly.. from type to makes.. for example, steering wheels got like 4-5 rows all hanging nicely on a fence wall.. and also group together like peugeot steering 7-8 in a row, merc 6-7 in a row.. back bumper.. all on a rack with sorted nicely with difference car make... a small partiton rooms full of taillight, next to it another small rooms full of headlamp... wah... i am impress.. and Andrew said he was like in heaven lol...

Well altho the place was impressive, but sadly i couldnt find anything.... but i guess it is Andrew lucky day coz he found what he's been looking for.. and man.. he is one damn happy man... jumping up and down like a kids that just treated with a nice big ice-cream lol, since Andrew didnt speak much cantonese, i am sort of his translator and asking about the prices and parts etc for him...

Apart from this shop we also went to a few others around the same area... oh well got some original 15".. but mostly is like belongs to 405, 306 even 205!... sigh~.... dunwan la... why buy old fashion shoe ler.....

Ok.. not much luck.. apart from Andrew still so excited about the 406 at the 1st halfcut shop we went to... which he refer as better than sexeheemmm .. no comment hehehe.. so he suggested we go see a car (GTi) belongs to one of his good friend... I wont say is who nor.. where and i did some photoshop on the photo of his GTi that i took coz... err actually he was not at home at that time and i kinda didnt ask permission to take the photo :P.. (if you wish the photo to be taken out just give me a buzz)

Reaches the house, raining... but owner not around, so we had to climb in, jack the car and took the rims out and make a run... heh.. nay.. actually he was kind enough to leave a side door unlock for us to go in and had a look of his proud GTi.. eventho he is still working and not around..(Andrew did call him and told him that we are goin to had a look at his car beforehand)

This GTi is difference from Andy's GTi.. in the sense of bodykits and certain part... according to some reliable source (Andrew la) this is actually a limited edition and there is only like about 200? of it out there. As you can see the front bumper and the back bumper is kinda longer and then normal 206 more bulky too.. and there is no side skirt just wheel arches (the reason we were here, to see how to install the wheel arch)

Andrew actually like this bodykits... and recommended me to get it on my tiny 206 too.. but reply.. well if my pug is a 2.0li or 1.8li or even 1.6li i would consider la... but my punny 1.4li i afraid after install it, the car wont move at all... what a laughing stock....

First stop a sparepart shop.. actually more like an office located at the Tmn Maluri.. not very big but.. the price is good!.. for those who looking for the Pug front/back and wheel cap.. this is the one.. they also sells gearbox lub. 407 type wiper that can be fitted in 206... hell its a good place man....

Anyway hang around for some time then off to collect my wheel arch and straight to the Klang again, this time Andy's guided us to another tyre shop where tnash got his 15" GTi rims.... reaches there.. and... dissapointed again.. seems like tnash already got the last set and there is no way to get it anywhere... anymore... waaaaa

(Tnash i think you go get 16" la.. your 1.6li mar.. sell me the 15" la.. me poor boy... car punny engine......)

Well the owner did try to look for me by checking almost 10 of his supplier but still cant find any... and atlast got 1 set... which he show me thru his handphone mms fromhis supplier... i had a look and well.... hmm maybe la.. but again Andrew.. hes damn lucky man.. found what he wanted... but damn expensive ler... super lightweight... a set of volks imported from Japan rm5k+++ ... ++ sigh~

Well he said maybe i should considered import la... so.. what the heck think first think first.. tmr i am goin to JB maybe try my luck there... if still cant get any.. either the 16", the 15" that the tyre shop owner shown me or.. last .. import.... i didnt get the photo of the rims.. but when we reaches KS to collect my car.. to my surprise there 1 206cc laying there with the same rims!!! well took the picture of it..

3rd Pug's TT 21/09/08 - X-tune & Naza World

Well another TT... hmm actually it is just 4 of us.. and we didnt actually go for teh tarik.. so its not so kind of TT hehe.. today's destinations.. first, X-tune.

I am abit surprise that X-Tune is actually located at the 1st floor of a shoplots.. i kinda expected it to be quite big like a garage, workshop or atleast the ground floor shoplots...yet another surprise.. for a small shop (actually we all were standing in the middle of the shop with no more than 6x4 sqft serrounded by parts n accesories) it does hold alot of parts and accesories such as grills, bodykits (dimmers) strout bars, exhaust, Air Filters etc etc...

Too bad i didnt get what i'm looking for (aluminium fuel cap), but atleast Andy's got what he wanted, the Green Air Filters... yay!.. LoL..

Well recently i've been talking with my cousin about the fate of our playstation 3. Eversince we got back, there is not much of gaming activities goin on for PS3 in Malaysia.. maybe its becoz the consol is too expensive? or maybe becoz there is not much choice of games? or maybe just simply bcoz the games is too expensive?...

Well the truth is.. compared to PS2 games which cost around.. what rm8? (pirated) to the original PS3 games which range around rm120-rm200, i guess not much peoples willing to buy it.. but what i can say is the games in UK cost around £30-£60 (rm180-rm360) so it is not that expensive here anyway... but ofcourse some will start to say how much is the average salary/wages of peoples in UK and so on..

So to make thing short, we decided to creat a Malaysia PS3 club... where all the PS3 owners in Malaysia can join and discuss or even swap games with each others.. but currently its just 2 of us.. me and Alvan (my cousin la). No choice, no where to go and doesnt know what to do.. we decided to creat a blog, hopefully to attract some PS3 owners in malaysia and maybe in future to creat a real working, organize club...

8.50am... sigh.. wanna go or go on monday?.. go.. no go... go.. no go... okla go go go.... packed my laptop.. check the camera's battery.. had breakfast..... oh 9.30am... here we go.... well currently my cars is on 2450km.. its time to do the first inspection and get the warranty go on... Ofcourse this time will be abit difference because i am planning to do something more not just for me but also fellows 206ers.

Ah dang.. traffic jam... i tot at 9.45 everyone supposed to be in thier office or shop or whatever they do and not on the road....

Anyway reaches KS (Kheng Soon) service center at 10.10am.. hopefully there is not much peoples there with thier car wanting attention. Actually this is my third time here.. the first time nothing was done cause i havent got the information stickers stick on my service booklet. 2nd time here with complete booklet to fix the ignition hub and now for the 1st inspection service.

All blue... even the 206cc also blue.. camo? hehe

I was greeted by a nice young lady... and pretty too :p.. but i forgot to ask for her name.. sigh~ maybe next time... the person sit next to her is the Service advisor, En. Yazid Zakaria.

After passing my service booklet and the free service voucher to the nice young lady, she begin to type in info/register my cars information such as current mileage etc.. and when all is done i begin to requested her if it possible for me to met someone that can answers some questions i had for them and izzit possible for me to take some photo? The she told me she will arranged someone to talk to me..

After waiting for awhile someone (En.Shariman, Techical Advisor) came to me and i explain my intentions to him about needing some answer to some hot questions and also take some photo. And he told me he need to inform his 'Boss' first.

Well fine with me... and another wait...

At the left side of the main enterance it lead to the garage/workshop located at the back of the building. There is couples of 407, 206cc and that pakcik is watching a Citroen.

Well finally i manage to talk to someone, at first i was talking with En. Yazid the service advisor and got some questions answer.

Q- what is the actual servicing interval?
A- Actually if following the Peugeot (France) it is every 20,000km.. but for Naza it is every 10,000km.

Q- Since the service voucher only had the 1st 2500km then first service at 20,000km, what about 10,000km?
A- Yes you need to come for the 10,000km servicing.

Q- What does the free service includes?
A-For bestari it is 2 free servicing and for 407 it is 1 free servicing.. and you had to pay for the parts. (i think he misunderstand my questions)

Q- I means the 3 yrs free service and maintainance vouchers, what does it includes?
A- Oh thats one includes labour and parts till 60,000km or 3 years.

Q- When i bought my car its supposed to be 5 years warranty, but why in the service booklet only stated 3 years? From 2008-2011.
A- That i need to refer to my 'Bos'

Q- Can the customers bring thier own oil/lubricant?
A- Yes, just only that.

(I forgot to ask what brand of lubricant they uses there, but i did saw some advertising of Caltex lubricant)

Q- Common question, will changing to bigger rims void the warranty?
A- Depends on what sort of rims, original peugeot rims wont void it.

Q- What about sportivo rims (16")?
A- That you might get the warranty from Naza itself.

Q- What about others rims, 16" for instant.
A- Its might void the warranty for the suspension absorber systems.

Then the 'Boss' (sorry forgot to get his name) came.

BA- Actually the warranty is only for 3 years and not 5 years. There is no 5 years warranty for bestari unless it is extended warranty given by Naza itself.

Q- But when i bought my 206 premium its stated with 5 years warranty (showing him the leaflet for premium)
A- Actually currently there is no more 5 years warranty, only 3 years.. (why they still put this up? - The 'Boss' asking his staff)

Q- Then what about mine? It definately stated 5 years warranty with 3 years free service.
A- For that you need to get it black n white, normally its come in form of voucher that stated extended warranty. Maybe you should ask your SA to get it.

Car being fixed

Q- Alot of bestari owner wishes to change thier steering logo to peugeot, is that possible? Do you sell the lion emblem for it?
A- We only sell the lion logo for the rims cap.. we didnt sell any logo for the steering, and it is very dangerous tempting with the steering wheel logo as the airbag is underneth it. so we wouldnt do it or recommand it to be done. You dont want to had a lion mark on your forehead when it deploy dont do?

Q- Is there anyway to change it then?
A- Yes buying the whole set of the airbag.

Q- How much?
A- Rm 10k.

Well first of all i wish to thanks the KS staff and management for answering my question and letting me wander around the whole center hehe..

Now what do i learned?.. hmm well first of all... anything original parts that been taken out of unathories modified, will void the warranty... i guess everyone know that.. so next time when you change something... kept the original part.. just incase anything happens.. change it back hehehe.

The high rev (rpm) for the auto gear is a common problems.. cant be fix i guess.. so the best way is using tiptronic to manually change from 2nd to 3rd gear (hi rev mostly happen at 2nd gear)

The squeeky sound on the front doors, magically dissapered.. dunno why... the 'misty' front light... best to take the photo of it as when you are at the SC it might not happen.. so take photo as prove.. its also easier for them to claim the warranty.

Well i guess thats all for now... till next time.. the 10,000km... till then

I am putting this part as part 2 because its got nothing to do with the servicing KS also had thier own sales department and not just merely a service center...

As i was walking around minding my own business.. i notice there is quite a numbers of 206 park out side the building. So arm with my camera i managed to get some nice picture of the cars available there... so take your pick! :)

I notice this Quartz blue 206 with full bodykits. The bodykits looks soft and not too aggresive... kinda bodykits i like!.. i was abit dissapointed when they decided not to put bodykits on the Premium edition... atleast if they do.. i might save some money from install it myself later...

As i was looking at others 206, (most of them with bodykits which comes as standard for the auto tiptronic) i notice there is something difference on a red 206... yes the bodykits had something extra on it...

Oh come on! who would want the 'Bestari' wording on the skirting?!! if you put the Peugeot or Peugeot sport logo on it.. i am sure the demands will be very high... i for one would buy it if they ever do that.. But funny thing is.. not all is with the wording.. some doesnt had it like the Quartz blue 206, nice and clean.. then again i am guessing there is no such thing as standard in 'Naza' 206.. as i know some of the 206 doesnt had any door lock/unlock button at the front of MFD (Multi Function Display) but had the knob at the door panel, some doesnt had the lock/unlock knob at the door panel and had one on the MFD and sadly but yes some doesnt had any door lock/unlock button whatsover at all!!!!

Wow.. after waiting for 2 weeks, finally my framed textile arrived... i've choosen a textile while looks like a painting to hang on the empty wall.

2nd 206 'TT' 06 Sep 08 Puchong

Yes another 'TT' session, this time we were goin to a supposely Peugeot accesories shop. The plan was meeting up at ss15 mcdonals drive thru at 1.30pm. Well i tot to myself plenty of time so i started my journey at 12.50pm. But it was a big mistake.. heavy rain = traffic jam. So i was stuck in a trafic jam at jln Tun Razak, well after passing the National museum traffic seems to be smooth again.. untill Federal highway.. jam again!.. grrr.. anyway i did manage to reach there around 2.15pm.. sigh~ sorry guys and gals.. my bad..

After a quick mcnugget meals.. we (my wife, andy, andy's gf ( sorry i dont remember your name at this momentler..must be becoz i am getting old.. but ivy know..but she's asleep rite now :p), gilamon206, andrew and tnash) continue our journey to the shop, located somewhere in puchong.While tnash was leading the convoy, i was following closely at behind followed by gilamon206, andy and andrew (Peugeot 405?). Somewhere in the middle of the journey suddenly gilamon206 speed up.. overtaking me and tnash, then tnash overtake gilamon206 again and andy overtake me.. and me overtake and and and i also dont remember, very confusing hehehe but all i remember it was fun! (too bad there is some traffic which spoil the fun abit) And my wife kept telling me no to drive to fast.. they all got better performance tyre, better grip, we only using stock.. wait till change to bigger rims and tyre first hehe ( well i kept telling my wife that a bigger rims and tyre will make the car more stable, safely and better performance hehe and she agree to let me change it.. yay!)

Somewhere in puchong we were joined by another 206(izaman) with his silver BBlions, (bro you gotto change the lion logo back ler). Then suddenly my wife told me something wrong with the digital camera and i lost my concentration and fall back behind.... plus the traffic is not helping too.. so had to use my igps (instinct gps) on where to turn or where to go... well my wife did help me alot too.. (thank you dear xXx).

I guess he wanted to make sure no body gone missing in the middle of the journey.. or i might be wrong? heh and at the end of the journey we were joined by another peugeot (407 , chongpt)

Well finally we reaches the shop... and when i first steps inside... well.. it is not what i expected it to be... there is not much to see there.. just some angel light, spoilers, strut bar, peugeot sport decals, 2 rims (peugeot 307 and citroen) some HID light, some peugeot car logo and small lion logo ( which can be put on the steering wheel but not 100% fit, seems like too thick) and 2 big tank of fishes!!!! so for me its look more like a fish shop hehehe..

Little furry visitor

Well today my sis & bo had gone to cambodia for thier yearly holiday.. and left me with thier little furry 'thingy'.. or hamster.

According to my sis, they actually got name!.. err one is call Chipchip and another one call Hamham. So Chipchip and Hamham.. nice to met you.. and thus today i started my responsibility as your guardian and will take good care of both of you...

Ok, wait a minute which one of you is Chipchip and which one of you is Hamham? ermm.. please raise your hand when your name is called.....ok nvm that its doesnt matter... both of you looks the same to me anyway..

A guide for expatriate drivers in Malaysia

Since arriving in Malaysia in 1997, I have tried on many occasions to buy a copy of the Malaysian road rules, but have come to the conclusion that no such publication exists (or if it does, it has been out of print for years). Therefore after carefully observing the driving habits of Malaysian drivers, I believe I have at last worked out the rules of the road in Malaysia . For the benefit of other expatriates living in Malaysia, and the 50% of local drivers who acquired their driving licences without taking a driving test, I am pleased to share my knowledge below:

Q: What is the most important rule of the road in Malaysia?
A: The most important rule is that you must arrive at your destination ahead of the car in front of you. This is the sacrosanct rule of driving in Malaysia . All other rules are subservient to this rule.

Q: What side of the road should you drive on in Malaysia?
A: 99.7% of cars drive on the left hand side, 0.2% on the right hand side, and 0.1% drive in reverse (be on the look out for drivers reversing at high speed in the left hand lane of freeways, having just missed their exit). Therefore on the basis of 'majority rules', it is recommended that you drive on the left. However, be aware that only 90% of motorcyclists travel on the left hand side - the other 10% ride in the opposite direction or on the sidewalk. Fortunately, motorcyclists traveling in reverse are rarely seen.

Q: What are the white lines on the roads?
A: These are known as lane markers and were used by the British in the colonial days to help them drive straight. Today their purpose is mainly decorative, although a double white line is used to indicate a place that is popular to overtake.

Q: When can I use the emergency lane?
A: You can use the emergency lane for any emergency, e.g. you are late for work, you left the toaster plugged in at home, you are bursting to go to the toilet, you have a toothache or you have just dropped your Starbucks coffee in your lap. As it is an emergency, you may drive at twice the speed of the other cars on the road.

Q: Do traffic lights have the same meaning as in other countries?
A: Not quite. Green is the same – that means 'Go', but amber and red are different. Amber means 'Go like hell' and red means 'Stop if there is traffic coming in the other direction or if there is a policeman on the corner'. Otherwise red means the same as green. Note that for buses, red lights do not take effect until five seconds after the light has changed.

Q: What does the sign 'Jalan Sehala' mean?
A: This means 'One Way Street' and indicates a street where the traffic is required to travel in one direction. The arrow on the sign indicates the preferred direction of the traffic flow, but is not compulsory. If the traffic is not flowing in the direction in which you wish to travel, then reversing in that direction is the best option.

Q: What does the sign 'Berhenti' mean?
A: This means 'Stop', and is used to indicate a junction where there is a possibility that you may have to stop if you cannot fool the cars on the road that you are entering into thinking that you are not going to stop.

Q: What does the sign 'Beri Laluan' mean?
A: This means ' Give Way ', and is used to indicate a junction where the cars on the road that you are entering will give way to you provided you avoid all eye contact with them and you can fool them into thinking that you have not seen them.

Q: What does the sign 'Dilarang Masuk' mean?
A: This means 'No Entry'. However, when used on exit ramps in multi-storey car parks, it has an alternative meaning which is: 'Short cut to the next level up'.

Q: What does the sign 'Pandu Cermat' mean?
A: This means 'Drive Smartly', and is placed along highways to remind drivers that they should never leave more than one car length between them and the car in front, irrespective of what speed they are driving. This is to ensure that other cars cannot cut in front of you and thus prevent you from achieving the primary objective of driving in Malaysia , and that is to arrive ahead of the car in front of you. If you can see the rear number plate of the car in front of you, then you are not driving close enough.

Q: What is the speed limit in Malaysia?
A: The concept of a speed limit is unknown in Malaysia .

Q: So what are the round signs on the highways with the numbers, 60, 80 and 110?
A: This is the amount of the 'on-the-spot' fine (in ringgits - the local currency) that you have to pay to the police if you are stopped on that stretch of the highway. Note that for expatriates or locals driving Mercedes or BMWs, the on-the-spot fine is double the amount shown on the sign.

Q: Where do you pay the 'on-the-spot' fine?
A: As the name suggests, you pay it 'on-the-spot' to the policeman who has stopped you. You will be asked to place your driving licence on the policeman's notebook that he will hand to you through the window of your car. You will note that there is a spot on the cover of the notebook. Neatly fold the amount of your fine into four, place the fine on the spot, and then cover it with your driving licence so that it cannot be seen. Pass it carefully to the policeman. Then, with a David Copperfield movement of his hands, he will make your money disappear. It is not necessary to applaud.

Q: But isn't this a bribe?
A: Oh pleeease, go and wash your mouth out. What do you want? A traffic ticket? Yes, you can request one of those instead, but it will cost you twice the price, forms to fill out, cheques to write, envelopes to mail, and then three months later when you are advised that your fine was never received, more forms to fill out, a trip to the police station, a trip to the bank, a trip back to the police station, and maybe then you will wish you had paid 'on-the-spot'.

Q: But what if I haven't broken any road rules?

01-09-08 Heavy Rain...

I was on my way home from my hometown back to K.L on 01/09... I took the highway from Tampin/Alor Gajah.. as it was holiday.. well last day of holiday coz tmr everybody start working.. i am expected to trap in a heavy jam. But to my surprise it was not so bad at all.. i started my journey from 2.00pm and reaches the Simpang ampat toll around 3.00pm.

For the first half of my journey from the toll it was fun.. n fast!.. how fast?.. err i dont think it is a good idea to post it here 'just incase' hehe. But when i reaches Seremban.. things gone differently... well the sky is dark... even tho its only around 3.30-3.40pm.. its look like 7is pm. Then rain... ah... suck... from my top speed i had to slow down till between 30kmph-50kmph... for the rest of the joourney till Sg. Besi toll.

Along the highway.. i can see peoples turn on thier beam light, hazard light, fog light.. and basically i can even see the cars infront of me (about 100km+).

Also i had counted.. there is 5 accidents on the opposite road and 2 on my side of the road. But what surprise me was those express buses was speeding like hell ( on the opposite road) and there is aleast 3 of them with one is double deckers type. They kept flashing the cars infront of them to move away so they can speed up... duh... these peoples deserve to be lock up man...

Anyway after reaching the Sg.Besi toll, the rain seems to slow down... and luckily there is not much traffic too.. i guess most peoples had already gone back to K.L on either sunday or goin on nite time or tuesday. And well i reaches home around 4.15pm..
